Do what your heart says and it will bring out the best in you. Our careers are the fruit of what our elders, parents and maybe some of our learned relatives’ advice. After coming to Australia I realised that there are plenty of jobs which we hardly imagine in our country back home. I really find tram driving quite interesting and would love to do it on a volunteer basis.
Similarly if you dig out what categories of job we have here, it is quite diversified and interesting. The best part is that you need statements of attainment or certificates to work in Australia. I am also surprised by the amount of concern we have for children and how important the working with children check is. Some jobs also demand fluency in language and specific skills for performing work. I am not surprised if the system works so well .Probably it’s the right skills and qualifications and documents that make workers confident and reliable.
It’s quite difficult and confusing when we are standing at the crossroads of our studies and then careers regarding the type of work we would like to do. The earning of a doctorate degree does not guarantee that a person would be a good teacher. It is the methodology of imparting knowledge that needs to be perfect. The main concern being students is being able to gain and learn knowledge rather than being confused and develop wrong concepts. If we do what we think is a portrayal of our skills we would be helping a lot of people.
Hot tip : Be the best at whatever you do.
